Austen is a highly experienced CEO, entrepreneur, investor and coach. His most recent CEO success was leading Ziosk, the restaurant customer tablet leader, from pre-revenue startup to market disruptor status, leading the market it created, serving 100’s of millions of guests a year, and processing over $8 billion annually. Prior to that Austen held global roles as a Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, where his accountabilities included global sales teams, Microsoft’s largest global clients, Microsoft’s global sales culture transformation and it’s Communications Sector business. Austen’s track record also includes mid-size business turnaround, transforming Fujitsu’s retail business to a top right-hand Gartner Magic Quadrant performer.
Austen has deep operational capability in building, operating and evolving software, services and hardware product and delivering complex, often disruptive, integrated solutions for both enterprises and consumers. Austen has held a wide range of Board Memberships from early stage to mature enterprises, with multiple successful exits. He is an accomplished public speaker and media spokesperson.
Austen lived and worked in Europe for more than ten years, and the US for more than twenty years. He currently serves a portfolio of businesses in the US and Europe as a chairman, investor, board member and strategic adviser.
